Map Data

The District government offers several online mapping applications highlighting information from various fields of interest such as crime statistics, public school profiles, detailed property information and more.

  • DC GIS - The Office of the Chief Technology Officer provides the public a "one-stop-shop" for geospatial data and enterprise applications.
  • Open Data Catalog - View District government datasets on Google Maps.
  • Crime Map - Search crime data by address, MPD PSA or District, or by other geographic area or point.
  • PropertyQuest - The Office of Planning (OP) created PropertyQuest as an easy way to view a wide range of site-related information, especially information on historic resources.
  • DC Government Property Search - The Department of General Services (DGS) maintains The District government's real property inventory.  Locating real property owned or under the jurisdiction of the District government is made simple with the use of an online mapping application.
  • Zoning Maps - The DC Office of Zoning (DCOZ) maintains the District's Zoning Maps. All construction or rehabilitation on private land must conform to the requirements imposed by the Zoning Regulations and Zoning Maps adopted by the DC Zoning Commission.
  • Capital Projects - View a map of selected FY 2014 to FY 2019 capital improvement projects.
  • DC Aerial Photography - The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) regularly commissions the capture of aerial photography for DC and the surrounding areas - approximately 69 square miles. These aerial photographs support the development of geographic data layers and help identify how DC's landscape changes over time.
  • Master Address Repository - The MAR allows the District government and the public to more easily compare and relate address data and web services with locations across systems. Each address, block, intersection and place name in the MAR is standardized and assigned a unique Address Identification Number (AID), map coordinates and other useful information.
