(Washington, DC)–Today, Mayor Bowser announced additional plans for Fresh Start February. During the month, Mayor Bowser and senior staff will attend more than 30 community events. Fresh Start February will be kicked off with this coming Monday's Executive Office of the Mayor Open House at the John A. Wilson Building.

"During Fresh Start February, we will engage residents from all 8 wards to create the District's next budget," said Mayor Bowser. "With residents at the table, we will prioritize closing the gaps and giving everyone a fair shot by investing in education, job training and affordable housing."

Mayor Bowser and Administration officials are scheduled to attend local community meetings in the coming weeks to discuss the budget and to collect feedback. Those community events will be released on a rolling basis in the coming days and weeks.

The Administration will host Budget Engagement Forums, designed as interactive discussions where DC residents can provide input to help shape priorities. The Budget Engagement Forums are scheduled for Thursday, February 19 at Wilson High School, Saturday, February 21 at Anacostia High School, and Monday, February 23 at Dunbar High School.
