Mayor Bowser to Host Second Annual Reach Higher: DC College Signing Day

(Washington, DC) – Tomorrow, Mayor Muriel Bowser, along with US Secretary of Education John B. King, Jr. and Deputy Mayor for Education Jennifer Niles will host the second annual Reach Higher: District of Columbia College Signing Day to celebrate more than 1,500 college-bound high school seniors. The Reach Higher Initiative is part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s commitment to inspire every student across the country to pursue and complete their education past high school, which can include community colleges, training programs, or four-year colleges or universities.
