Bowser Administration To Kickoff Annual March Madness

Event Will Preview New and Upcoming Development Projects

(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Friday, March 24, at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will join Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) Brian Kenner, and Administration officials to host the third annual March Madness, a special preview of new and upcoming development projects to provide more quality affordable housing, inclusive economic growth, support for small businesses, and job opportunities for all DC residents.

Since the launch of March Madness, several large-scale and multi-use projects were opened for development such as: Truxton Circle (Ward 5), Waterfront Station (Ward 6), Capitol Vista (Ward 6), Parcel 42 (Ward 6), and the Anacostia Gateway (Ward 8). DMPED also signed an agreement for the revitalization of Hill East (Ward 7) that will create permanent jobs, expand affordable housing options, and add vibrancy to the neighborhood.
