On Wednesday, December 9th at 10 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser and Police Chief Cathy Lanier will hold a press availability to discuss recent homicide case closures. In the last 30 days, the Metropolitan Police Department has closed a dozen homicide cases and needs assistance from the public closing more.
The press availability will take place on the 2200 block of H Street Northeast, near where Mr. Arvel Stewart, an innocent bystander, was murdered in June. Last month, members of the Capitol Area Region Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) arrested a suspect in connection with Mr. Stewart’s murder.
