Mayor Bowser to Announce District Preparedness Plan for First Amendment Events

(Washington, DC) – On Thursday, August 9, at 12 pm Mayor Muriel Bowser will be joined by DC Police Chief Peter Newsham and District officials to provide updates on the District’s preparedness plan ahead of the weekend.
The media avail will immediately follow a roundtable discussion with community and faith leaders regarding the upcoming events.
