(Washington, DC) – Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser announced the appointment of Ronan Gulstone as Director of the Office of Policy and Legislative Affairs.

Mr. Gulstone most recently served as the Manager of Government Affairs and Public Policy for Maryland and DC at Washington Gas. In this role, he developed legislative strategies, conducted research in support of public policy priorities, and served as a liaison between Washington Gas and government officials on a broad range of policy topics. Prior to joining Washington Gas in 2017, Mr. Gulstone worked in the Office of Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie for more than five years, serving as the Councilmember’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Legislative and Policy Director, and, beginning in 2015, Chief of Staff. During his time as Chief of Staff, Mr. Gulstone helped manage day-to-day operations in the office while fostering and maintaining relationships with District agencies, organizations, businesses, and residents.

A Ward 5 resident, Mr. Gulstone received his Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law.
