Mayor Bowser to Celebrate New Institute of Policy, Politics, and History at UDC-CC

New Nonpartisan Institute Will Provide Students Extracurricular Opportunities to Engage with Respected Practitioners of Politics and Public Policy

(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Thursday, January 31, at 11:30 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will celebrate the newly established Institute of Policy, Politics, and History at the University of the District of Columbia Community College. The nonpartisan institute will engage and equip emerging leaders for careers in politics and public policy. The curriculum will include fellowships, internships, and seminars which showcase the District’s political history and its consequential influence on contemporary policy.

Founded by the Honorable Sharon Pratt, the Institute of Policy, Politics, and History expands upon Mayor Muriel Bowser’s commitment to providing educational and enrichment opportunities for District residents to excel in today’s economy.
