Mayor Bowser to Celebrate Start of #BacktoSummer Programming

(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Monday, June 28, at 11:30 a.m., Mayor Muriel Bowser will join DC kids and community members at Edgewood Recreation Center to kick off several annual summer programming initiatives, including the first day of Department of Parks and Recreation Summer Camps, the launch of the 2021 Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program (MBSYEP), and an exciting new partnership for the DC Public Library’s #Read20 Summer Challenge.

Residents are invited to join the community event and enjoy a moon bounce, games, and free ice cream provided by Whole Foods.
