(Washington DC) – Today, as part of Immigrant Heritage Month, Mayor Muriel Bowser, in partnership with the National Immigration Forum’s New American Workforce, unveiled a new virtual citizenship portal to help eligible DC residents apply for citizenship and guide them through the naturalization process. Since 2017, Mayor Bowser has partnered with the Forum’s New American Workforce to assist DC residents with the citizenship process.

“This new virtual citizenship portal will simplify the naturalization process and help more of our residents realize their dream of becoming U.S. citizens,” said Mayor Bowser. “As part of our DC values, we will continue to work with local partners to uplift our immigrant community with resources, services, and pathways to prosperity.”

The Forum’s New American Workforce program will guide participants through all application forms via virtual interviews and monthly virtual workshops. Applicants will be advised in case they need assistance from an immigration expert.
