Statement on September 2018 Revenue Estimates

Friday, September 28, 2018

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, the DC Government released the revised revenue estimates for the FY 2018-2022 District of Columbia Budget and Financial Plan. The forecast for local fund revenues is revised upward in FY 2018 by $58.3 million, and by $44.3 million in FY 2019. In response to the new estimates, Mayor Bowser released the following statement:

“In just the past week, we have celebrated two major District milestones – we opened the state-of-the-art Entertainment and Sports Arena in Ward 8 and the new short-term family housing program in Ward 4. Both openings are examples of the sound investments DC Government is making in our community and in the future of our city. These revised revenue estimates signal our ongoing commitment to being strong stewards of taxpayer dollars, and Washingtonians should be proud of our city’s ongoing growth and prosperity.”
