Mayor Bowser to Highlight Administration’s Progress on Affordable Housing Projects at DC Housing Expo and Home Show

(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Saturday, June 24, at 2 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser will highlight her Administration’s unprecedented investments in housing such as producing and preserving affordable homes, connecting more than 1,800 veterans to permanent housing, and helping more than 2,500 families avoid DC homeless services system. This month, the Bowser Administration is celebrating June Housing Bloom, the Mayor's annual month-long initiative to showcase how the public and private sectors are partnering to produce and preserve affordable housing, increase homeownership, end homelessness, and revitalize neighborhoods across the city.

The 9th Annual DC Housing Expo and Home Show will provide homeownership information, financial literacy sessions, one-on-one credit counseling, and guidance for current or potential homeowners, residents facing foreclosure, small business owners, and community leaders.
