Wednesday, October 18, 2017
As part of #ObviouslyDC, Mayor Bowser continues to highlight advancements that are putting more Washingtonians on pathways to the middle class

(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Thursday, October 19, at 10:30 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will be joined by executives from Uber and Cedar Realty Trust to celebrate Uber’s Greenlight Driver Support Hub in Ward 7 at the shopping center in East River Park. The Uber’s Driver Support Center will serve as the flagship for resources and support services in the Washington region.

Uber Greenlight Hubs are the place for Uber drivers and potential drivers to get in-person customer service and assistance to resolve any issue. Greenlight Hubs also serve as a location to network with fellow drivers and UberEATS couriers. An innovative partnership between DC Government, Cedar Realty Trust, and community members, Uber anticipates to hire approximately 25 full-time employees at the new location and will provide services, guidance, and assistance to thousands of DC Uber drivers every week.

This announcement is part of #ObviouslyDC Week.
