Statement on September 2017 Revenue Estimates

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, DC Chief Financial Officer Jeffrey DeWitt released the revised revenue estimate for the FY 2017-2021 District of Columbia Budget and Financial Plan. The forecast for local fund revenues is revised upward in FY 2017 by $22.2 million, and by $14.5 million in FY 2018. In response to the new estimate, Mayor Bowser released the following statement:

“Today’s revised revenue estimates confirmed my administration’s commitment to effective and sound financial principals and decision making. We will continue to invest in our residents so that more residents have a pathway to the middle class, affordable housing, quality schools and safer, stronger neighborhoods.”
