Performance Plans and Reports

Performance Plans
Performance planning is the foundation for how we operate and evaluate our government.  At the beginning of each fiscal year, each agency asked to develop a performance plan.  The performance plan describes new initiatives that improve the quality of their services and highlights metrics that meaningfully gauge their progress against goals. 

Performance Accountability Reports
Performance Accountability Reports are also developed at the end of the fiscal year to summarize accomplishments and report on whether or not city agencies met the targets set forth in their performance plans for that year.

Core Business Measures Dashboard
Welcome to the OCA Core Business Measures Dashboard. This dashboard supports the District’s goals of creating and maintaining a highly efficient, transparent, and responsive District government and of promoting agency accountability through robust performance planning and reporting. In FY19, the Office of Budget and Performance Management (OBPM) selected a set of eight core business measures to evaluate business operations across 53 mayoral (non-independent) agencies in District government. These key performance indicators (KPIs) provide insight into agency effectiveness in the following four areas: Financial Management, Human Resources (HR) Management, Contracting and Procurement, and Information Technology (IT) and FOIA Compliance. OBPM did not establish targets for these measures in FY19 because it was the first (baseline) year for these measures. Starting in FY20, OBPM and its partner agencies will establish targets for these measures.

A measure with Data is N/A in the FY19 column means that data is not available for the measure at this time. All figures are rounded to the nearest whole number/percent.
