Performance Plans and Reports: Education

The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education is responsible for developing and implementing the Mayor's vision for academic excellence and creating a high-quality education continuum. This work aspires to foster a city of lifelong learners with pathways to family-sustaining careers – undergirded by strong public schools and programs offering a rich tapestry of options for families, universally available recreation and out-of-school time opportunities, and a deeply effective and coordinated government working in close collaboration with our non-profit and community-based ecosystem. To realize these goals, the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education provides oversight and support to eight education-related DC Government agencies.
